On 3 March, a meeting titled "Expansion of Persian Language and Iranology in Scandinavia and Baltic States" to get to know more about the approaches and concerns of professors and lecturers of Persian language and Iranology in this geographical area and also increasing mutual acquaintance between them and the trustees was held in Iran.

Dr. Seyyed Zia Hashemi, Cultural Adviser of the Islamic Republic in Scandinavia, expressed his hope at the beginning of this webinar that this meeting will become an opportunity to address common concerns in the field of using scientific and cultural capacities for the development of social relations and be a step to achieve a society based on peace and well-being.

Dr. Abdulhamid Alizadeh, the deputy of scientific cooperation and specialized organizations of the Center for Scientific and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science, stated that "during the spread of the Coronavirus, a small number of international ministerial centers of the Persian language were able to continue their education. Among the successful centers in this field, we can mention the Bu-Ali Sina University Center for teaching Persian.

Dr. Hashemian, the head of Bu-Ali Sina University Center for teaching Persian to non-Persian speakers, stated: "Since long ago, great researchers in the Scandinavian and Baltic areas have been the source of valuable works in various topics of Iranology. Now it's our turn to finish their unfinished work". She further pointed out that the Bu-Ali Sina University Center for teaching Persian, using professional and expert teachers, can teach the Persian language online in Scandinavian countries during the spread of the Coronavirus within the framework of ministerial powers.
